Tunis, 12 June 2026 – Attalaki Organization and the Unité dans la Diversité Association signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in Tunis, marking a new milestone in a partnership that has grown steadily over more than six years of cooperation and shared commitment to promoting dialogue, diversity, and peaceful coexistence in Tunisia.
The signing of this Memorandum reflects the mutual desire of both organizations to further strengthen their collaboration and establish a structured framework for joint initiatives addressing issues of common interest. Over the years, Attalaki and Unité dans la Diversité have worked together through various activities and exchanges aimed at fostering intercultural and interfaith dialogue, celebrating Tunisia’s rich and diverse heritage, and promoting values of inclusion, citizenship, and mutual understanding.
The Memorandum of Understanding is founded on the shared principles of peaceful coexistence, respect for human dignity, cultural and religious diversity, and the promotion of universal values linked to living together in diverse societies. It outlines several areas of cooperation, including the development and implementation of joint projects and activities, the organization of training workshops and knowledge exchanges, the documentation of good practices and successful experiences, and the production of studies and reports that contribute to advancing policies and approaches related to social cohesion and inclusive citizenship.
The agreement also foresees cooperation in national and international forums dedicated to dialogue, diversity, and intercultural understanding, enabling both organizations to coordinate efforts and amplify their collective impact.
Speaking on the occasion, representatives of both organizations highlighted the importance of building sustainable partnerships among civil society actors committed to promoting pluralism, social cohesion, and constructive dialogue. The MoU establishes a two-year framework for cooperation, renewable by mutual agreement, and provides mechanisms for regular coordination and follow-up to ensure the effective implementation of future initiatives.
The Memorandum was officially signed in Tunis on 12 June 2026 by Malek Sallemi, Secretary-General of Attalaki, and Mohamed Ben Moussa, President of the Unité dans la Diversité Association.
This new chapter of cooperation reflects the shared vision of both organizations to continue working together in the service of the public good, fostering understanding across differences, and contributing to a more inclusive and cohesive Tunisian society.
