Ghassan Ayari, the Public Relations and Partnerships Officer at Attalaki Organization, delivered a statement during the UN 17th session of the Forum on Minority Issues, outlining the organization’s efforts in protecting and promoting the cultural and religious heritage of religious minorities in Tunisia. He highlighted the organization’s collaborative work with state institutions, focusing on initiatives such as the production of documentary films that showcase the rich traditions and history of these minority groups.
Mr. Ayari emphasized the importance of raising awareness about the unique contributions of religious minorities to Tunisia’s cultural tapestry and their role in enriching the nation’s identity. He also discussed the strategic partnerships between Talaqi and various institutions, which have been instrumental in supporting these initiatives and ensuring their sustainability.
In addition to the formal discussions, there were several side conversations held during the forum with representatives from various international organizations. One particularly important and positive conversation took place with Mr. Ramzi Louati, Counsellor Permanent Mission of The Republic of Tunisia to the United Nations. During this exchange, the representative praised the efforts of the Talaqi Organization and reaffirmed the support of the Tunisian state for all initiatives that contribute to enhancing coexistence and tolerance within Tunisian society.
